Nice that you are drawing! Prepare to be sucked into the very addictive world of pixel art
And you are using a good looking texture base (the one without windows).
Two things to concider:
- The shading of the red roofs of the first tower, the roofs facing left (the shaded side) should be a bit darker (or the ones facing right should be a bit lighter).
- The dirt in the middle doesnt seem correct there. Either make the top floor a bit narrower than the bottom floor or dont use that effect at all for buildings with the same width (or use the effect that separates the part with no windows at the bottom with the first windowed part)

Re: Town Walls Objects (v0.1 released on Bananas, 17 feb 2016)
Excellent!
Maybe also place two windows on the sunny side and maybe a little dirt under the battlements (like the other towers/walls)
And could you provide the tower without ground and trees? And then also provide the trees as a separate tile (also without cobblestone)?
I can then combine these two graphics myself, either with or without cobblestone and that way it is also easier to adapt them to snowy climates (SwissFan91 is kindly helping me with providing those graphics), as in snowy climates the trees shouldnt have leaves
I am currently working on recoding the GRF into NML, when that is done I will include your work (probably later today, or in the next couple of days).

Re: Town Walls Objects (v0.1 released on Bananas, 17 feb 2016)
Thnx!
Two things:
1. There is a grey pixel that isnt in the roof of the tower above.
2. In the shaded side there is a sort of greyish stripe under the battlements, either have the same sort of stripe (but lighter) in the sunny side or remove the stripe in the shaded side

Re: Town Walls Objects (v0.1 released on Bananas, 17 feb 2016)
I meant, look at the inside of the red circle. There is a light greyish stripe under the battlements. That feature in the texture should also be visible in the sunny side (in the green circle area), but then lighter grey. Or the feature in the shaded side shouldnt be there at all.Timeflyer wrote:2. both the same..... just first with one door, second with two doors

I live near a rather nice tower historic tower, if you ever are looking for different takes on towers. May make for a nice different colored, darker, set of objects.

Unfortunately I have zero artistic talent. Ever since school my idea of art has been stick figures, so sadly I just suggest thingsQuast65 wrote:@Redirect Left, good suggestion, fire up Photoshop or Paint

Re: Town Walls Objects (v0.1 released on Bananas, 17 feb 2016)
According to the thread, http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php? ... 4&start=82 "a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 2.5 License", if thats not compatible with what you're looking for, you may be able to talk to the artist and see about it though. It's a rather nice graphic, especially going back 10 years!Quast65 wrote:Under what license is this graphic released?
edit: haha, that thread is from back when i was named Captain Kirk on the forum, what was I thinking choosing that name?!
Re: Town Walls Objects (v0.1 released on Bananas, 17 feb 2016)
That s*cks...No Derivative
I believe that Oz left this community a couple of years ago and went to Simuscape. However I havent found a (public) post of him there since 2013.....you may be able to talk to the artist and see about it though.
