Drat, I must have missed that when skimming through the topic.
No need to change the existing strings, those translations are at least as good as mine. What about the lang file for the grf containing sea guls etc?

Code: Select all

It should not. It's an adjective (and not the plural form of the noun Firmenfarbe). You could argue that a different wording might be better, like "Bestimmt, ob die Fahrzeuge der KI in Firmenfarben lackiert sein sollen oder nicht." Use of the preposition would turn it into a noun ;-)

adjectiv: "firmenfarbig"

Wouldn't that be better? ;)

I don't think so.

-farbig gives a colour count:
einfarbig
zweifarbig
vielfarbig
...

-farben gives a hue:
cremefarben
fliederfarben
pastellfarben
...

(though the Duden also lists things like fliederfarbig as synonymous to fliederfarben, to me it feels slightly wrong ;-) )

Suggestions for new vehicles:
  • School buses
  • Taxi cabs & limousines
  • Street cleaners w/ ridiculously low speeds
  • "Classic" style ambulances (station wagons)

  • What will be the difference betwin School and normal bus ?
  • I allready use light wheight vehicle set (LRVS, http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=46583) and road cars set as taxis. I believe we can found many cars in the forums, maybe a dedicated set is better for cars
  • I suggested road cleaners, but is it possible to restrict then to the streets in town only ? This will be more realistic, but is it much programming work ? If not, I suggest we add tractors or harvesters in farming areas only (with possible cargo = wheat).
  • What will be the classic ambulance ? Just another ambulance with other introduction date ?
Supercheese : I do not know how I can help you with this newgraph but do not hesitate to tell. I am really waiting for the 32bpp. So do my children.
I found some Blender or Sketchup models all around the Internet, can they be reused as starting point ?

They look different. That's what eyecandy is for.

Not by a NewGRF. A GameScript might.

All good suggestions. I already have some sprites in the pipeline for street cleaners, there already is a grf for a schoolbus, and I am interested in adding rickshaws (and bicycles, if not too small to see).

What about motorcycle to replase the horse & rider?

Also for early years, horse & handsom, ox cart, camel (single or in caravan), donkey with person leading it, elephant, dog cart, dog sledge (in arctic)

And later Yellow Cab

Hey there

I have a suggestion for Eyecandy road vehicle, would it be possible to have a parameter for all vehicle from this set to have 0 capacity ?

I ask this because with Cargodist, those eyecandy vehicles running with no orders are often ending up creating random links between stations, those links are creating a mess on the graphlink map and at stations ratings too sometimes.

I wonder if capacity to zero will avoid creating links though...

Why not use a separate TownCarAI?

Or are you playing with InfraSharing and it's still a problem? Mhmm ...

towncar AI could indeed be a solution...but in my case it s Civil AI messing up is own links with small cars ;)

Also you are right to mention infrasharing.. i m not using it at the moment...but i remember when playing with infrasharing that i use to ban eyecandy vehicle for this reason too (every car visits every road stops....every stops linked together, it easily brings cargodist on it s knees ;)

edit : i also would like to buy in "my" company some eyecandy vehicle, but never do because of those random links.
