Well, i found an article about this on intels site
ftp://download.intel.com/labs/eml/downl ... tunity.pdf
It talks about Moore's law: Moore's Law states that the transistor density on integrated circuits doubles every couple of years. This exponential growth and ever-shrinking transistor size result in increased performance and decreased cost.
What began as an observation has become a compass and engine, setting the bar for the semiconductor industry and producing an expanding universe of new applications and opportunities.
They're talking about a 20Ghz in the near future
What's a Thz then, 1000 Ghz ?
Then i think this is for 10 years or more

Yes.. but its exponential.... It doubles every (2 or 3 years.. ?)thorkia wrote:I can buy a 3.6 Ghz intel now.
So I say about ten years for 1 THz
It only took what, 15 years to go from around 8Mhz to 1 Ghz.
My first PC about 15 years ago was a Commodore PC10-2 at 8Mhz with 256k Ram and a 5 Mb hard drive. I was the envy of everyone.
So It should go a lot faster now..
Never fear, I is here...

Um, no, I said PB, which is a lot more than a terabyte! Didn't you look at the HSW article I told you to? How Bits and Bytes Work:CombatGold1 wrote:5 pb? lol thats less than 1 buyte. Look below
