OpenTTD doesn't support micro-managing non-transport properties in that manner (although that would possibly be a patch or add-on of some sort that I could get behind). So it's not going to be possible to do that.

However, Emperor Jake did release an apartment industry NewGRF that player can build, which only generates and accepts passengers. As far as I am aware it works alongside all the other industry NewGRFs without conflict.

I'd like to see some more sophisticated real estate ownership/sale features,but you do need to be starting from scratch in that area rather than having a status as a large landlord.

Running hotels attached to your station complexes is a logical extension with real world precedent.

By the way, any method of cash investment would be welcome.
Not only to gain profit, but also to protect money from accidents (for example deleting half of the sea).
