China and Asia mini map
China and Asia mini map
This is a mini map (256x256) including China and some parts of Asia.
The benefits of the map:
1. Quick play: a small map speeds up the development progress.
2. Fierce competition: when play with multiple AIs on the mini map, the competition will be challenging.
3. Air is not the only option: you have to use multiple ways to transport on this mini map. Many big cities are connected by rivers. Some terrains are optimized for building rails. And some islands are not big enough to build an airport.
4. Learn Chinese: the map gives both Chinese and English names for towns.
To see the Chinese, you need to set the following lines in the OpenTTD configuration file: openttd.cfg:
small_font = Arial Unicode MS
medium_font = Arial Unicode MS
large_font = Arial Unicode MS
The above configuration is tested on Windows XP.

Re: China and Asia mini map
The scenario is made with OpenTTD 1.4.1.
So you should use OpenTTD 1.4.1 or later versions to play this scenario.
Thanks.

There is a large China map here: http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php? ... 6#p1119546TinyMusic wrote:I would love to see a 4096^2 version of this. China is a huge place you know
I created this small map for someone who likes to compete with AIs. Small map can intensify competition.
Against AI, I usually lose in the beginning but win back in the long term.
It is really fun to compete with them.

Now the pics for the development after 25 years:
