Dude Screenshots

Post by Killianbass3 »

This thread will be the thread that I post pictures from my games and before anyone asks where I got something I ask them to look for it using the forum search tool that is how I accumulated every thing I have and if anyone wants a copy of the save file it will be useless to you you would have to have my objdata folder because of all the things that I changed but I can try to make a default map of the US Square Auto map that I westernized because I think that it makes the UP engines fit in the landscape better so starting sometime later today I will post my first few screenshots of the US Square Auto map years 1915-1919 and 1920-1929 and please comment on my pictures so I can tell how well I'm doing and what people think about them. Thank You.

Alright I've done some thinking and realized that all of those pictures were plain and nothing interesting I plan on posting all of the pictures up to 1959 but I'm feeling kind of lazy right now so later

Some random screens from the game with lengthy descriptions that are very descriptive.

April '55 - It's just an ordinary day at Jack Daniels Curve featuring the sights that are commonly seen a UP Big Boy pulling its 3500t load of coal with ease as a set of A-B-B-A Santa Fe Erie built Units return to the coal mine at the base of the mountain and meanwhile on the Bitter Creek ridge one of the local short line log trains returns to the load/unload yard in the salt flats for more logs to take to the Bitter Creek sawmill.

June '59 - An unusually Busy day at Jack Daniels Curve as the empty UP coal train heads back to the mines via an alternate route, and although not completely visible at the moment a UP oil train lead by an interesting combination of an F7b unit sandwiched between two GP9a units returns to the oil field for more oil. Although not an uncommon sight the passenger trains are pulling a special train to transport people for the big party, but for the long Santa Fe reefer being a rare sight it is destined to deliver food to the Sweetwater Yard to be distributed at the big party mentioned above which celebrates My birthday because I am the savior of these logistics depraved people.   Yes, worship me, worship me, my computer generated citizens.

July '60 - There is nothing unusual about this one it just shows an empty UP coal train waiting at the line merge point as a long local short line rr (a.k.a. WP) log train travels the high mountain ridge to deliver the logs to the load/unload yard in the salt flats for transfer to shorter trains to eventually be delivered to the Bitter Creek sawmill. The UP City train returning people to there homes after the big party is due for a long needed upgrade to the new E9 units and will be promptly upgraded after this last trip.

So with that I leave you all with the question what do you think about my: Pictures, Track placement and for future reference my long descriptions are they good, bad, helpful, or should I just post the pictures and have smaller less descriptive descripions.

I love the landscapes, but some of the trains are a bit monotonous in that the wagon types aren't varied at all.

well for some of the trains it had to be that way like the coal trains for the UP they really would run gondolas but there aren't any so I run all the same coal car for it instead and for the ore train it's one of the two special ore jennys plastikman made so I use those now instead of the 34ft coal car and for the SF coal trains I use the regular 34ft emergency wartime hopper for everything bulk shipped like coal iron etc. until the new ore jennys came out in '42 and the 3 bay hoppers come out in '65 an for the reefers the SF ones if you look very close you can see that the graphics on the sides of the cars are different an the UP only ran there own reefer cars the SP-UP PFE Pacific Fruit Express cars but for the one UP goods train that has all the same car I saw a picture of a similar train but it was a set of F-units instead of a GTEL But what it all boils down to is there is thousands of trains and cars but only 224 slots

Zakos you said you liked the landscape would you like me to make a default one for everyone to use but if I do, do I not have to ask Zimmlock for permission to release it?
