Transport Tycoon theme installed
I have installed the Transport Tycoon theme by dominionspy. It seems to work well enough (except the colour of certain links - eg, links to "TTDPatch Moderators", or the author/last post links in the forum listing - clash with the grey background. dominionspy: do you think you could alter this?
Damn.. I love this style!
It fits in great with the forum.
I hope it goes down well

Transport Tycoon is one of the oldest games still going today. Congrats to Chris Sawyer, congrats to Owen Rudge and congrats to all the people who are keeping Transport Tycoon alive!

Owen, where it says 'administrator' or 'moderator' below certain people's 'post bars' is just about unreadable when using the new theme.
(but I don't like them anyway...)

Thanks everyone for the feedback - there should be an update to fix all the minor problems by tomorrow - so if people could just hang on for the 'perfect' theme a little longer, thanks.

I would like to congratulate dominionspy on his energy and resoucefulness in putting this all together. Well done, he has shown us just how much scope we have in changing our Forums reading and writing areas.
However i think the TT game play theme does not lend itself to Forum pages.
The game is a visual panorama with decision making and much mouse clicking.
Visiting the Forum is like opening the mail and reading letters with much expectation in the lounge room.
My suggestion for a theme is the President of the railroad company's desktop. There would be his or hers writing paper with letterhead, and of couse the big expensive padded swivel chair.
For me i am staying with old faithful subSilver for now.

No seriously though I do like the idea but the TT theme is a bit more TT-ish...
GoneWacko. Making #tycoon sexy and exciting since 1784.
Well personally the only thing I don't like is the admins and mods links. Or I think visited links. They go blue and are unreadable. Apart from that I love this theme

I think you'll find that it's already fixed.Adzyboy wrote:Or I think visited links. They go blue and are unreadable.
And about the admin/mod links - I also think that they don't look good, but I don't think Owen does.
I would take a lot of file searching to change the colours since they're not stored in the style sheet, but hard-coded into the template files.
I'm glad you like it. If your links are still blue - try refreshing the page.
