I found this doing a search of the forums for 'Chris Sawyer' .

This person claimed to be Chris Sawyer two years ago and states he was working on the sequel to Locomotion...

http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=53021

Those screenshots which are posted do seem to be unique, only one of those screenshots are known from looking at people debating its authenticity, the other two are not.

He mentions Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 also.

Maybe this was genuine?

That user was you, as you well know!

In other news, we should have a special visitor to the meet on Sunday (no, it's not Chris Sawyer). If you're interested in the new game, then please sign up to the meet and turn up on Sunday!

I am interested in both the game and who the person is, but can not attend

If you don't want to reveal it to those that will be attending, can you pm it to me?

I've heard so many claims that he's making it. Each version looked different. It's not coming.

Possibly not as great since then the TT brand wouldn't have been dead for 10 years.

To be fair, that could just be an extra email address to use for junk mail.

got official newsletter which inform us about five screenshots mentioned above.

and some feedback seem interesting...
Of course we've seen a few people mentioning that it looks like Locomotion - rest assured that while some of the assets are shared the game itself takes all the best bits from Transport Tycoon and Locomotion (both Chris Sawyer games, don't forget!), and pulls them together to give you the greatest entry in this classic series so far.

Well, those of us who are at the meet just now have just had an exclusive preview of the new game. And I think the consensus is: it's pretty good. It takes elements from TT, others from Locomotion, and even a few features from OpenTTD. It is different of course, being operated on touchscreens, but it's a good game. I'm looking forward to it. :)

Did you get to actually play it? Did you see any UI?

Yes, and yes - although it is still heavily in development. It is somewhat similar to the Locomotion method of track building, but it does seem to work OK. I'd wait and see what they show in the future.

Sounds good and am curious to see which features from OpenTTD are in it.

Do the graphics actually look just like Locomotion, or does it appear that they have put in the time to improve them?

Quite similar but there are some differences. It looks and feels nice. Controls are a bit tricky but this iisn't your average two minute throwaway game.

We only had a Dev stage game so no AI, although it is included. We will see. I'm sure our involvement shouldn't end there.
