TT-Forums Meet 2013 - pick a date

Post by orudge »

As discussed here, the annual TT-Forums meet is expected to be held in London this summer. Please vote on which dates you think you could make - pick as many as you wish. If you don't think you'll be able to come, then please don't vote!

Really, the only date I know for sure I could make is August 3rd. I've selected August 17th also since I might still be able to attend such an event.

Theoretically, I can do most of those, though an August meet would be better for me.

Only date I can't make is the 17th. Wedding. Not mine.

I've got three weddings and a bachelor party over those three months otherwise I'm free. Only, once again, money will be an issue. I'll have to see if I get a job.

The dates I can do are June 22nd, 29th. Anytime in July except for the 6th. And August the 3rd or 31st.
I'm away mid-late August on holiday and the 10th is my Birthday, and also an exhibition day for my club. If it weren't for the latter, I would have picked the 10th too :P

Hopefully won't be a day that clashes with what I'm doing though. Be a bit of a bummer otherwise.

Ive just moved to London from Australia, via Ireland for the last 2 years. 8)

I should be able to do almost any of those dates so have voted accordingly, except late June as I already have a friend coming to visit and will be occupied.

Ill leave this poll open until the 1st June. So far it looks like the end of July or start of August will be the likely date.

The 27th July and 3rd August seem to be most popular at present. However, I may be able to make it if we could hold the meet on a Sunday instead. Would this still be convenient for everybody (i.e. 28th/4th)?

Sounds perfect to me. What do others think? If it is London, then there's no difference to transport on Sundays, and most places are open in the times we'll be there (11-5), as well as pubs which will deffo be open all day.

I'm well up for it on either of those weeks, whether it be Sat or Sun.

EDIT: Also, if you choose to arrive to stay on Sunday night, it'll be cheaper than staying on the Sat night when all the fecking British tourists like you lot are knocking about haha.

Any other comments/objections? If not, I will probably pick one of those two dates tomorrow and set up a wiki page, etc, and get this thing planned. :)

In my very own personal case, I would then prefer the 28th of July. I would probably be able to make the August date too if that was picked but the earlier of the two would be better.

So, to confirm, Sunday the 28th July would be good for most people? :)
