First "deroadment" on Cambridge busway
Railway Magazine, Jan 2013
A driver was treated for shock on Nov 18 after his bus caught the kerb on an opening between Swavesey and Huntstanton, causing the bus to turn 45' across the busway.
Stagecoach UK confirm that it was caused by driver error. No passengers were injured.
Unfortunately, there was no replacement train available.
Discuss.

Wouldn't that be a deguidewayment then?
Either way, they seem to be able to keep it a secret quite well, because I can't find any pictures or news items on it. But this was bound to happen sooner or later, really.

It's not as if there aren't signs. I cycle along the busway every week, and at EVERY single entrance to it, there are almost TOO many signs. Including some to tell cyclists to use the adjacent psychopath. The driver could be non-English speaking, but it's still pretty obvious that this isn't a normal road!

If it keeps bikes away from cars and pedestrians, it can only be a good thing...

At least it was big enough to pass the car traps.

You cycle along the busway itself or the cycle path adjacent to it?JamieLei wrote:It's not as if there aren't signs. I cycle along the busway every week, and at EVERY single entrance to it, there are almost TOO many signs. Including some to tell cyclists to use the adjacent psychopath.
