Hi all, I downloaded OpenTTD, and viewed the readme, I believe I have followed all instructions, but still cannot get TTD to run,
Initially it crashes prior to opening stating cannot support graphics, see 4.2 in readme. I downloaded hte CFX, SFX and MSX files for TTD but cannot even run them, because, OpenTTD needs to open first to use them correctly.
if someone could help me figure out how to run, or just give me a step by step that would be amazing. i really like TTD and want ot play it again after a 14 year absence.

How and where did you install the Open* data files?
We need more information than "it does not work" to help you.
(The readme explains that if all is well, but since OpenTTD does not run, you must have missed something somewhere.)

Mac OS X 10.7 and 10.6 and 10.8 are not officially supported by OpenTTD. Mostly because there is nobody with enough Mac OS X experience to fix all the Mac OS X specific issues. It not working for you might be caused by one of these unfixed issues.
Re: Problem running OpenTTD on MacOSX Lion 10.7
Put the base graphics in yourusername/documents/openttd/data/ AND yourusername/documents/openttd/baseset/
I'm not sure why, but trunk seems to want it in /baseset/ while some other builds want it in /data/ - either way, once you've got the files in these locations, you should be able to just run each openttd executable

Optional solution:
unzip gfx, sfx and msx downloads.
Right-click The OpenTTD bundle (Application), select "show package contents".
GoTo Contents/Resources/Baseset And paste the recently unzipped gfx, sfx and msx folders there.
This must be repeated if you update.
