Here's the email:
Hello Transport Tycoon fans!

As promised, you're among the first people in the world to receive this news - we're announcing that Transport Tycoon is aiming for a simultaneous launch on iOS and Android devices on the 3rd of October!

That's less than three weeks from now!

To celebrate, we've got a brand new trailer for you to watch, and some new screenshots that show off the game really well.

You can watch the trailer on our YouTube channel here: http://youtu.be/pMcqnNHueHc - please do take a moment to subscribe, 'like' it and comment so we can chat about it!

You can grab the amazing new screenshots here (63mb).

Of course there's plenty more excitement to come over the next few weeks, but I wanted to let you know that we'll be at the Eurogamer Expo in London from the 26th to the 29th of September, so if you're heading over please do come to say hi! You can pop by our stand, have a play of the game, and maybe win some limited edition Transport Tycoon swag!

All the best,

The Transport Tycoon Team.
I was happy up until I saw "swag".

Ah, I like that bright jazzy MIDI music playing in the trailer. Was it from the original Tranport Tycoon game?

Awful short turn-around time from sending it out to beta players to having a set release date.

In the screenshots. I noticed that
The trains are longer
Maps r larger
I hope that pbs is also implemented and that will make the complete locomotion

So, I've caught myself having a fight within. To buy a tablet or not to buy?
I suppose it will be hardly playable on a 4,6" screen my phone has, on the other hand I'd find no other use for a tablet beside playing TT. Makes me wonder whether I am going to become such a money waster for the sake of playing new TT

Just use an Android emulator on your PC, since touchscreen makes it hard to play

It is fine to play on a touch screen, they have worked realy hard on making it precise.

Still, I think i'd evaluate it in a virtual machine before buying a tablet specifically for it! You never know, you might loathe it.

There has never been a Chris Sawyer's game I'd not fall in love with ;)
But well, if a tablet emulator can do the job, I guess I'll follow that path.

What do you define huge to be?

Longer than 16 sections, if it really will be the same. I don't think that it will look very good if no modded stations are allowed, though.

Am looking forward to Midnight to see if it's available or if I have to wait for Thursday UK time.

No. I had to wait till it was released on the New Zealand App store before I could speak.

I suppose I did overlook the plethora of alternate meanings. My original assumption was that it was included in order to catch the eyes of the youth as well.
