Have an Android actually running on your PC.
This one works quite well, but is less integrated and still needs at least average hardware. Never tried BlueStacks myself.
--- Licenses: GNU LGPL, version 2 or newer, code and graphics. CC-By-SA, graphics, alternatively. If you're using any, I'd like to hear about it --- Call them "track types" ---
--- Mostly inactive developer for: NuTracks - Central European Train Set --- Running/compiling for: Linux (x86) - Android - Windows (32/64 bit) ---

--- Need a file packer? 7-Zip --- BOINC - use your computing power to benefit science --- Block trackers, not ads --- Unix in dispersible pellets, the formula for the future. ---

There are lots of trains that 4 parts are not enough.

A Velaro train have 8 cars by default:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siemens_Velaro

There are trains with 14 "parts", like the "duck" (class 102) train used in Spain:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RENFE_Class_102
Also, this trains has this structure:
Power & driving car - End passenger car - passenger car (4) - dinning/coffee car - passenger car (5) - End passenger car - Power & driving car
I bet that AI would never create this train like the real train. I like to see realistic trains.

And there are trains with 16 cars (400 m):
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/China_Rail ... 3#CRH380BL

I like to use fixed trains, because if not, the AI uses unrealistic trains (for example, a TGV with two passenger cars or a train with a locomotive and 4 dinning coaches and no passenger coaches).

Also, I have a train (class 450) with 6 cars and two liveries. This takes 4 vehicle slots from 224, livery selection and allow up to 16 cars by train will save 3 vehicle slots if It's not possible to change the limit of 224 vehicle slots. Livery selection would save lots of vehicle slots in Spain mod for Locomotion. If I add a recent livery (FGC), I need two more vehicle slots (5).

----------------
Other feature that I miss is a gearing selection. For example 80 km/h for freight and 140 for passengers. This could be done using two vehicles, but... It's better to use only one.

I for one would certainly not miss this when playing on my phone, just trying to kill a few minutes before a meeting or waiting for a friend on the street. In that case I'd have fun with just one generic locomotive or multiple unit per broad category.

This works in Lomo already. Try any of these:

If you don't like it, don't use it.

In OpenTTD, the default vehicles are generic, but You can load your own train with different features: gearing selection, livery selection...

Has anyone managed to get it working on PC? If so how? BlueStacks doesn't appear to work and I haven't managed to get it working on Genymotion yet either. :/

I've tried Genymotion, it works with Angry birds.

What this topic should be labeled is "Transport Tycoon 2013 for TABLETS only?!" Because that's what it's shaping up to be.

Now I have no idea where I'm going to get it, as I don't have a tablet, and I'm not buying one for one game.

I have heard it works fine on iPhones, so clearly it works on some phones.
