Quick question about the extra base graphics...
According to the specs for action 5 there are 15 sprites for additional airport graphics. Looking at the actual sprites themselves, am I correct in thinking that only the last three are used by OTTD? If so I'm wondering what those other sprites were intended for - additional airport layouts that were never implemented?

Re: Action 5 Additional Airport Graphics
But we don't have rotated airports in trunk. It's possible via GRF, but that doesn't appear to be related to these sprites.Quast65 wrote:Rotated airports.

Re: Action 5 Additional Airport Graphics
These sprites have been included purely for the purpose of allowing NewGRFs to use base graphics with rotatable airports, namely OpenGFX Airports (which has an original graphics setting)PaulC wrote:But we don't have rotated airports in trunk. Re: Action 5 Additional Airport Graphics
Eh? OpenGFX+ Airports has no such setting, and it's rotation sprites are all contained within the GRF itself. To do what you suggest would require far more sprites that those provided by action 5 (i.e. rotations for the airport buildings, the small airport, etc.).Leanden wrote:These sprites have been included purely for the purpose of allowing NewGRFs to use base graphics with rotatable airports, namely OpenGFX Airports (which has an original graphics setting)

Apologies, the setting isn't adjustable, its based on the graphics set chosen in the settings.
Re: Action 5 Additional Airport Graphics
Not sure what you're saying: graphics for OpenGFX+ Airports are the same regardless of base set. Or did you mean something else?Leanden wrote:Apologies, the setting isn't adjustable, its based on the graphics set chosen in the settings.
Had a bit of a dig, looks like those sprites are related to the work richk67 was doing on airports years ago: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=24291
