variable loco power

Post by jimbob »

Reading up on some electric loco specs I noticed one which had different power outputs for if it was being run continuously or for an hour? Dies the grf spec allow for decaying power over a certain runtime? You could also better model the early horse vehicles and anything else reliant on muscle power.

no, you cannot change engine power based on time.

power can only change on significant location, e.g. when arriving at a station or changing railtypes. changing power on any other condition will not work properly, and cause desyncs in multiplayer
