32bpp Max/recomended resolution

I'm wondering if there is a max resolution for 32bpp train sets, If not, What would a recommended resolution be?

No, there is not, and resolution does not depend on pixel depth.

However, if you ask about sprites: they can come in 1x, 2x and 4x size, and in 1/2x, 1/4x and 1/8x as well. And for each zoom level they can come in 32bpp and 8bpp. NewGRFs need to provide 8bpp at 1x (thus normal size).
