I can see leaving it in for the beta so that it's easy for beta testers to test stuff, but since nobody should actually be playing real games with beta, take it out on the final full release.

Whoops, that should indeed be a 7.

Regarding compatibility, you are right that it is not really necessary to keep compatibility at this stage. And it is a relatively small change, and upgrading NewGRFs always has been something without warranty, just as playing with beta versions is (not that I give any warranty on any release :wink: ).

I agree with kamnet. This should be for testing purposes for the time being.

And for those of you who REALLY want to play with this set... you know that there are still 154* vehicles that haven't yet coded and included in the set? You really can't wait a bit longer? :wink: :lol:

I've counted all vehicles from this sheet, and I have not coded any of them yet.

I love the current "huge" number of trains in 2cc, but +100 more on this set isn't it ... well ... a bit ... well ... too much (Never thought I would say this for a OTTD GRF set) :tongue:

You'll be able to use the regional parameter soon and decrease the number...

So no reason to include regional parameters, you can already hide vehicles you don't want*.

And I just released the fourth beta on BaNaNas. With this beta, it is no longer possible to couple Unit Wagons to engines/wagons and wagons to MUs. You can still couple MUs to normal engines and vice versa, and then attach the corresponding wagons. Furthermore this beta has some 10/8 replacements for several vehicles (issue #7054) and other graphical fixes.

The complete changelog is:
  • Codechange: ID ranges are now #defined in one file
  • Feature #7054: Vehicles redrawn as 10/8 (Graphics by Voyager One and Emperor Jake)
  • Feature/Fix #7057: Prohibit coupling of Unit Wagons to engines and regular wagons to MUs
  • Fix #7058: MUWAG graphics when depending on location in consist no longer consider other MUWAGS as different vehicle
  • Fix #7082: 4-4-0 Engine length
  • Fix #7084: mDDM alignment
  • Fix #7085: CP 2500 flashing pixels in flag
  • Fix #7086: 4-6-0 Ten wheeler length
  • Fix #7104: Transrapid alignment (Thanks to Digitalfox for fix)
  • Fix r300: ETR300 Settebello capacity was different in item and graphics file
  • Fix r316: Modified sprites for JR EH500 (closes #7056)
  • Fix r330: Fix compatibility
  • Fix r334: Make the old 4-6-0 Ten wheeler unavailable
  • Update: Translations from webtranslator

Noticed a small bug: DSB E is purchased and runs without the tender. Reported on devzone.
