Actually, Bamberg is probably the easiest to build.
1. Build the station (Always 2 x 5)
2. Add the add-ons to either or both ends of the station. (2 x 1,2,3 or 4)

Thanks, I managed to build it. Does it expire in the 1960's because it is year 1965 in the game I am playing and I cannot build it.

Indeed ... an undocumented (not in donotreadme) expiry date = 1960.

Michael, perhaps the donotreadme could document expiry dates alongside available dates?

Or better yet, (via parameter or otherwise) disable the date restrictions.

NewStations does use introduction dates, but there are no expiry dates. That restriction for Bamberg sneaked in unattended and should have been removed in v0.51. However, it had yet again forgotten about, and should have been removed in v0.52. Now, when 0.52 turned into 0.6, you´ll have to wait a bit longer.

As a lover of freight stations, and general MB-graphics-fanboy, this 0.6 sounds like the best post-Valentine's gift.

Got another question: What is the separating track tile do and how to use?

It's for simulating stations that have one long platform face, but signalled such that it can be used as two terminating platforms. From a gameplay perspective, it's equivalent to a buffer stop.

Can you post a picture example of this?

You can see such signals in modern version here: http://www.benbe.hu/gallery/semmeringba ... me_eng.php Another train can stop from the other direction, so more than two trains can have a common platform change of passengers. It typically happens when there is a high capacity line coming in (in this case the Vienna - Wiener Neustadt) and many branches departing. This way passengers who change to the branches don't have to use the subways.
The stopping of the two trains moving in opposite directions towards one another is enforced by the safety system, approach speed is limited to 40 km/h and the safety system makes the train stop before the signal.
Another usage of this is when two multiple units coming from different lines have to be coupled. With these signals the approach can be done under safety system control and not only by special procedures or shunting. This is what happens here: http://www.benbe.hu/gallery/elvitte-a-k ... me_eng.php
They get coupled into long trains like this: http://www.benbe.hu/gallery/traisentalb ... me_eng.php and they get to St. Pölten together.

Nice picture, I really forgot about your interesting web site during the last year. Have to visit it more often now.

W/r to that signal, I should include a modern variant too in the next release.

Please don't forget a tile without a (visible) platform. While the buffers respond to the adjacent station tile, the separating track don't.

Is that really needed? I mean, such signals are (almost?) only used inside stations, i.e. on platforms. Other than this, there´s also the double buffer for use outside stations?

Indeed, you could just use normal two way signals as well.

Sorry, that it was misleading. I meant the void platform tile, a separating track tile for void platforms. A second wish: stairs on a non track platform tile.

Another one for the wishlist:
NewStations still lacks a proper station building for terminus stations that works with the existing platform halls.
Something like Munich Hbf, Leipzig Hbf, old Stuttgart Hbf or even Berlin Anhalter Bf. Lindau Hbf is an example for a medium scale building, Oberstdorf would be a good example for a small modern terminus building.

What do you think about this, Michael?
