Presenting yet another town name newGRF, this time for Olympic host cities, there's 20 winter Olympics host cities and 23 summer Olympics ones. You can choose to use either Summer, Winter or all town names. The grf is fairly limited as only a certain number of cities have hosted the Olympics so probably best on small maps, however you can also use 22 Summer and 21 Winter Olympic Candidate Cities on the new version.

You can download the source and GRF here but it will be available on bananas and GRFCrawler soon.

Thanks, fixed in my version, doesn't have too bad effect since OTTD wont allow 2 cities of the same name in a game so I won't bother updating it (until a new host city is announced ).

Future winter Olympic host city Pyeongchang (South Korea) now features in a new version. Available from the first post or BaNaNaS.

For larger maps, how about adding an option for cities that were considered for the Olympics?

That's a good idea, however, I'll need a list of places considered for the Olympics
