Presenting yet another town name newGRF, famous town names is designed to bring a sense of the familiar to generic or 'worldwide' games, it currently only has a bank of 88 names from all around the world, so probably best to play on no bigger than a 1024*1024 map.
I'll keep updating with with town name suggestions from this topic, I'm sure I've missed lots of good ones.
You can download the source and GRF here but it will be available on bananas and GRFCrawler soon.
