[OTTD]Chinese town name GRF

Post by acabin87 » 15 Jul 2010 16:43

After a hard work, I finnally created this GRF and it has 3 name styles.

The GRF requires OpenTTD trunk, and cannot work on 1.0.2 because this version has some bugs on GRF-town-name.
I didn't test it on TTDPatch.

Here it is.

changelog:

[r3]
revmove all Chinese characters in GRF's name & description
[r2]
add random names
[r1]
creation

Well... you can. But it will look ugly for people who don't have as a default one which supports Chinese and the description found in the drop-down menu should probably really be in English (note the many ????, all other entries are in English, too).

Have you indicated all strings as UTF-8?

EDIT: alternatively add to the description a first line which advises people to select a font which supports Chinese characters.

Thank you.
It's out of my consideration that many people don't have any font that supports Chinese.
I'll remove all Chinese characters that in the GRF's name and description.

How did you get that newGRF selection GUI window? Tell me  And how was the "open ttd" title changed to "OpenTTD"?

I'm using trunk / nightly versions of both OpenTTD and OpenGFX.
