This is the third time today you've beaten me in time by a couple of minutes!

I just wanted to write you about a problem between beta3 and 2cc r721 and it disappeared with beta4.

Hey mateys!
Just downloaded the set and I'm not sure how does it work!

Sry for dumb question, but any help is appreciated :)

3 Compatible Trainsets
===========================================================================

As the railtype feature are a very new feature (as of january2011) and most
trainsets are made before this date, not all trainsets are 100% compatible
as is. However, all (not tested, but there is no reason why not) minor and
major trainsets should be compatible due to the introduction dates of the
different tracks. There are however a few trainsets that have 'built in'
support, so a train with a certain speed is called e.g. a "medium speed engine".
This also ensure that the proper tracks are released when a useable engine
is available.

Currently theese trainsets have some kind of support:
- The 2cc Trainset 2.0.0-Beta5, Nightly r727 - Full support. It also activate
the 'metro' trackset if the 1st parameter is set to 'autodetect'
- UKRS2 - Semi-supported - The 3rd rail engines/mus in this set should drive
on the 3rd rails in NuTracks. It also activate the '3rd rail' trackset if
the 1st parameter is set to 'autodetect'. It will not however introduce
new railtypes by itself, you have to rely on the introdates.
- BROS (not yet released) will have full support, and will activate the '3rd rail'
trackset if the 1st parameter is set to 'autodetect'

More trainsets to come
In other words: Do not apply NuTracks to a running game.
Set all parameters to (default) and start a game without running any other newgrf, and then see what happens (start teh game in year 2000ish and see)

If you need more help, dont hesitate to ask.

Btw: you need the most recent OpenTTD 1.1.0 Beta or Nightly r21866 or newer

Click on your Rail builder tool, you should now see several different types of rails listed by speed/type as opposed to the old Railroad/Electric/Monorail/Maglev.

Stuff that I all know, I have nightly and did that what You told, used CanSet, just asked cause wasn't sure that it always work how it suppose to to non compatible train sets! Also don't have any other track related grfs in use, and thinking that other grf shouldn't affect this behaviour?!

Edit: Dutch catanary is only track related what I found

i've run a game with *LOTS* of newgrfs, nutracks and the 2cc trainset. Most of them grfs were stations tho, and buildings (ttrs) and bridges (tbrs)

You did dare to ask
Ok... First it was that it wasn't the newest nightly... not sure why I haven't update it! And second, screwed up the first parameter at first try, I should have double check it before the post above! So very dumb ones!!!

I'm still having a lot of problems with beta 5...
1. When I set the track set to "with third rail", I get low speed 3rd rail with catenary and medium speed 3rd rail without, but not their counterparts without resp. with catenary.
2. When I set it to "with metro tracks", I don't get metro tracks.
3. And when I set it to "with NG rails", I only get the default rail types.
4. I still don't see any new graphics for the 80 km/h rails.

1: Clearly needs investigation
2: Define 'dont get'. They should be grayed out, and if you use the 2cc trainset they should be available quite early (roughly 1900)
3: I thought i had disabled that option, as i heavent implemented that yet
4: Local tests earlier today did give me the Swedish rails... Hmmmmm Needs further investigation 2morrow :D

OK, by "don't get" I mean that there is not metro track type in the list at all, not even grayed out. Also, I used Chill's patch pack based on r21900.

The easiest for DJN would probably be if you provide (small) test games where you set the parameters as you described :-) and a sign ingame with the brief problem explanation ;-)

Readme says that NuTracks is compatible with UKRS2 and EMUs could drive on 3rd rail. Actually they do not show on depot window and other trains cannot go to 3rd rail. Not even JB that could get more power.

Also 3rd rail max speed is not affected by any parametres. I put slow rail to 99 km/h but slow 3rd rail (with catenary) is still 125km/h. Same thing with medium 3rd rail.
