==============================
The Dutch Tram Set is New Graphics Set which adds a great number of both historical and current Dutch trams to OpenTTD.

As usual you can find the grf at the DevZone and the ingame fruit store.

OpenTTD 1.2.0 or newer is required.

Here's one thought: are you planning to make them refit/recolour to 2CC? Other than that... I like it very much.

Perhaps that is something for version 1.1?

There may well be one in the developement thread among the many pages, but can you post a table here with all the trams on, intro dates, capacities, speeds etc

Andy had the last release of 2011, allow me to have the first of 2012!

Hereby I present you the Dutch Tram Set version 2.0.0. Main features are the total recode in NML with new vehicle alignments as well as the optional possibilities to have the trams in 2CC (more or less, not all vehicles use both company colours) and to have the vehicles refit to anything.

Below is the full changelog. As usual you can find the grf at the DevZone and the ingame fruit store. This time OpenTTD 1.2.0-beta1 or a recent OpenTTD nightly is required.

Full changelog:
Feature: parameter to have vehicles in 2CC
Feature: parameter to allow refit to anything. Default passengers only.
Feature: new BRU livery for connexxion 5001
Feature: additional liveries of HTM 3001
Feature: sort the purchase list
Feature: Dutch version of readme
Feature: ingame link to devzone

Fix: TE coefficients were way too high
Fix: cargo capacity display in purchase menu
fix (r96,r98,r100): remove some more callback flag properties
Fix (r96): also remove callback flags property
Fix (r92): we should actually require 1.2.0.23068 to be able to use the date_of_last_service variable
Fix (r50): balance costs against default vehicles

Very nice!

I seem to have a problem though with the soundeffects, the trams dont make the normal sound (no bells, some sound like an old Model T-ford starting) I have Openttd R23771 and OpenSFX 0.2.3

Actually, there are no sound effects in this version.

I haven't asked for permission to use those yet, and when the opportunity arised to release the first grf of the year there was no time :P
Hopefully they will return in a later version.

A Ford Model T sound would be inappropriate, as the trams bearing that nickname are electric trams. Reason for the nickname is that there were so many of those trams, resembling the period where almost every car was a Model T.

Glad you like the set though :)

Thnx for your quick answer! With the model T-thing, I meant that they make that sound now when they start ;-) and not normally with a bell ringing. Hope they will get the right sound effects soon.

And keep up the great work, I love all the Dutch stuff!

ah, I misunderstood that. The vehicles now probably have the default sound effects. I don't think I explicitly disabled those. So yes, that's a bug.

Are there already soundeffects for this set?

No, at least none that I have the permission for to include in a GPL released set.

This might be useful: http://www.freesound.org/people/YngwieM/sounds/56392/ At around the 30sec mark you can clearly hear a bell and the tram leaving. Loads of sounds on that site by the way, with the licences clearly stated.

And maybe if you ask nicely, this website might allow you to use these sounds: http://www.haagsetrams.com/tramgeluiden ... uiden.html

The license of that file is unfortunately not compatible with the GPL. But I've found some different sounds on that site (licensed CC-0) that may be usable with some minor editing.

That is a possibility, yes. I'll write an email to them when I get around it.

Dear friends of this NewGRF. Today there is a new version! It doesn't have any new features. It does however feature a lot of new translations! Finally. Thank you all who have provided a translation.
You can get it from the online content.
