Yes / no. Depends on your ability to read the code (nfo).

You'll find each industry in there. Fairly easy. There's a 'view' button on the web interface to the repo.

cheers,

Yes, it's possible to control in nfo. There's no particular reason to have all the industries disappear, it's just annoying. My gut feeling is that FIRS industries won't close down very quickly - they will stick around for quite a while waiting for cargo to be supplied...

As all values are still subject to changes we will not be adding that in a human readable format to the readme at this point, but once everything is figured out and considered playable, everything of interest to players and other set developers will be documented properly. Mind you that it still will take quite a while before that happens...

'Someone' could write a parser for the assembled nfo or the cpnfo files that output the production amounts to html or csv?

Sounds like a cool project :) Dealing with varaction 2 would be no fun of course.

What about grf2html? It only doesn't work on nfo, but on grf.

If by release you mean 'nightly', then the next release would be tomorrow.

If there's no nightly release then there is nothing to release.

Whenever it's due, what else? :P

And then what Rubidium said: if there's nothing new, there's no release. I'm currently too busy with RL (ask on #openttdcoop.devzone, they'll tell you that I haven't been around there either for the last few days). I'd say that there's nothing new next week either, but maybe the week after that.

Nothing new for FIRS from me either. But there are some nice boats to try in the FISH thread ;)

Re: FIRS Industry Replacement Set - Releases

Hi,

Great work guys, this will certainly be my favourite industry set (or already is)
But on my network I have massive amounts of train lines dedicated to the production of Engineering Supplies, just so i can get the primary industries to produce a decent amount in order to feed the engineering machine shop to to make enough supplies for the primary industries... and so on. Is this because it's unfinished? I need more engineering supplies; this imbalances my game a bit. Sorry for complaining, but I know it's unfinished.
Thanks

Thanks Jake,

Improving how Engineering / Farm Supplies work is top of my list for things to do on FIRS. FooBar is busy with school and life, and I've moved house and have work 7am-midnight most days! But we'lll get to FIRS improvements sometime soon :)

I read the thread (again) and noticed that you have discussed the closing of industries. From what I read and from my own experience, the following guess come to my mind - is it possible on small maps that even served or primary industries close down because of too much industries on the map? I had this with a power station (coal delivery only) and a coal mine (as far as I know, they shouldn't close down, at least not in 15 years). Also a waste collection point was closed, but I don't know if that's the same problem, or the town citizens build a recycling center in all of their houses.

I too just had a well serviced power station close. In fact it was the only industry I was servicing on the map. I have a save if need be.

[Edit] Do I need to provide Coal, Fuel Oil and Engineering Supplies to keep it from closing or are Fuel Oil and Engineering Supplies optional?
[Edit 2] After going back and adding a 3rd train to guarantee monthly deliveries I was able to stave off closure.
