Simple: those buildings aren't drawn yet. We can't include something that isn't thereJubalulu wrote:FooBar, why have buildings that are in Black and don't are appearing in the OpnTTD?
The OpenGFX nightlies contain a few more buildings than the latest alpha release, thus reducing the amount of black boxes. There's a link in the first post.

Re: [8bpp] Graphics Replacement Project - OpenGFX GPL Releases
In September 1993 near Bombay, lightning hit a train full of women. And fifty of them in the confusion them jump on tracks, where a train in the opposite direction ran over them.
A little bit of stupit death.

Dear OpenGFX enthusiasts,
Finally, time has come. Time for a new OpenGFX release. Ammler already teased you with a few screenshots; he told me that he had a hard time finding black boxes
Some of you might have been enjoying the nightly releases we've been providing since the end of May, but today we add 0.1.0-alpha5 to the family of OpenGFX releases. We are very pleased with this new release, what might suprise some of you in terms of how far we managed to get. Ofcourse it's not completely done yet, but we're closer than ever!
Let me stop talking and give you the release: http://mz.openttdcoop.org/bundles/opengfx/releases/
This will be added to Bananas shortly, so you can get it there as well in due time.
I like to thank everyone who supported us so far: we couldn't have done it without you! But more importantly: we can't finish OpenGFX without your support either!

Is this the final one? Or a non-beta/alpha?
Hmm, what should I put here...

(And now some words here to make the post not too spammish)
Re: [8bpp] Graphics Replacement Project - OpenGFX GPL Releases
That's much better! All buildings that I can see, have no black squares, and the MAG-LEVs don't either! Just some of the faces as far as I can see!

Mostly Toyland indeed.
Re: [8bpp] Graphics Replacement Project - OpenGFX GPL Releases
I did a replacement for the piggybank here, but it's still noted as a missing sprite in your table. (Not that it's necessarily very nice or anything, but it is at least a replacement while waiting for a better version...)FooBar wrote:A list of black boxes is here: http://openttd.jaspervries.nl/opengfx/a ... ingsprites

Cool & thanks for notifying. I'll see that I get this sprite into OpenGFX when I'm home.AndersI wrote:I did a replacement for the piggybank here, but it's still noted as a missing sprite in your table. Re: [8bpp] Graphics Replacement Project - OpenGFX GPL Releases
Tonights nightly can be considered as bugfix release for OpenTTD trunk r16825 upwards, the close-x didn't fit anymore and disappeared. Reducing the size with 1px makes it appearing again. Maybe, it isn't perfect, but it works.

Re: [8bpp] Graphics Replacement Project - OpenGFX GPL Releases
New release!
Mere minutes ago we released OpenGFX 0.1.0-alpha6! A few things are fixed in this new alpha release, but more importantly a lot of things have been added! Most notable are the completion of the temperate, arctic and tropical climates. And then toyland progresses slowly but surely: trucks and building construction stages are the main additions for this release.
Get it while it's fresh! Available via the ingame download feature or download it manually from http://bundles.openttdcoop.org/opengfx/releases/ Enjoy!

Re: [8bpp] Graphics Replacement Project - OpenGFX GPL Releases
Hi,
first, i'm a french speaker, so i apologize for my bad english.
I like economic simulation games (constructor, capitalism, industry giant, sim city, patrician ... and of course openttd )
I'm planning to make a small economic simulation browser game in PHP.
But I'm not realy a great artist.
I'm looking for some graphics that suite my needs and are "free to use" (i was thinking of creative common license, or anything like this)
--
i have question about the openGFX GPL outlook.
in the case of a website, using some of your artworks. What is your point of view about "scope of linkage" and "derivated work".
I would be happy if you clearly expose me what are your expectations.
