Redrew the Delta with better cab, more cargo body types:

This one is too big in my opinion - out of scale compare to the mining truck (which I can't make any bigger). It is a huge truck in real life, but I need the whole set to work well together. I might redraw it later.

A little surprise: the "No. 6 Bulldozer"

Bulldozers will be used to haul (slowly) wood, goods, farm produce.

If the coders can make it work, the blade is drawn separately and could be removed for some cargoes:

Very nice, I could do with some of them in my current game.

Looking forward to a release :).

Currently I am drawing, and hoping a friendly coder will put together a test .grf for the mining truck

This one is going to be a little while before we get a full grf - the coders who might help are pretty busy, there are lots of interesting grf projects to be worked on...hope that's not too frustrating!

chiching! ;)

Some minor glitches because of the sheer size of it, but it's livable. (Mainly it's slightly taller then the entrance of the depot, and it looks wierd in the Lorry Stop (the original version, not the RoRo version)

Thanks to DJ Nekkid for the test .grf. This comes with no warranty about sprite clipping, loading, refitting, all the usual stuff!

I wouldn't worry too much about dates and things at the moment. Pingaware has made a tracking table which is great (thanks Pinga), but I'm going to adjust all the dates, capacities, speeds to balance gameplay nicely. I've registered a domain name and will stick a site up when I get chance.

How do people feel about vehicle names? I would much rather have fake names as I am inventing most of these vehicles - only the Foremost Delta and the Nodwell are real, everything else is a blend of different real-life vehicles. Fake names matches GRVTS as well.

Dan Mack / Pikka / Zephyris - I would be particularly interested in your views on names as I want to match against GRVTS and the NA RV set.

Sure, with usual attribution. The No. 6 would be best as it will look ok from about 1930 onwards. The No. 8 and only becomes available sometime in the 1970s, No. 9 is even later.

Check back by tomorrow, I'm planning to do the other angles on the bulldozers next and will post.

So I'm pretty happy with how the 2nd company colour looks. It gives players the option to have the 'big iron' vehicles in either their company colour, or in a more realistic colour such as yellow. Gray, green, orange, cream and white all look great as well, especially white (my favourite). Terex have huge white mining trucks.

Honestly, the NARS uses real names, as do the other North American train sets. I don't think Caterpillar will come after us if we name our vehicles properly :) Also, for eye candy, how about snowplows?
