In particular, the vehicle may be pretty voluminous but it's still light rail; there's no prospect of filling it up with heavy bulk cargo like coal.

Version 1.5.0 released, get it from Bananas or http://bundles.openttdcoop.org/heqs/releases/.

I skipped play testing for this release, if you find a bug you can have a cookie (and I'll fix it for 1.5.1)

Graphics for new trams are by DanMacK

*Changelog for version 1.5.0*
Added Chemnitz 0-6-0 tram (steam tram, available 1880).
Added Afonside 0-6-6-0 tram (steam tram, available 1885).
Added Kassel 0-8-0 tram (steam tram, available 1898).
Tweaked the intro dates and other properties of some trams for game balance.
Enhanced cargo graphic support for trams (steel, paper, lumber).
Enable auto-refit compatibility for most vehicles.
Improved order of buy menu when sorted by ID.
Fix display of capacity in buy menu for trams.
Fix tractive effort for Dynamo tram to reflect that trailers are powered.
Fix articulated mining trucks showing wrong sprites for cargos (e.g. clay).
Fix some trams were using wrong sprites for some angles.
Fix Ishizuchi tram was way too cheap to buy.
Lots of internal changes to make HEQS easier to maintain, and prepare for grfv8.

I rather like all the new trams in the set though I havent started early enough to play with the new ones yet.

I was playing a random game and within a few years I had a small town turn into a port for fish and goods and steel. It was mostly serviced by long and short industrial trams ^^

No bug, but the 0-8-0 is completely redundant to the 0-6-6-0 - same costs and capacity but less power.

You found a couple of bugs ;)

The 0-6-6-0 is significantly too cheap to buy and run.

The 0-8-0 is a little too expensive to buy and run. BTW it's also a little faster than the other long trams - and will share track with the railmotor at the same speed.

One nice thing I figured out about those industrial trams is they're A LOT easier to work into towns for hauling frieght since they're smaller, and can run on roads. They also hold a lot more then a train of similar size and costs far less.

Perhaps they need to be more expensive and/or have reduced capacity then...

Well I think that maybe they could have slightly higher costs, but not too much, after all they are trams

I just noticed something. Gmund Mog (at least the rail variant) no longer carry any cargo in 1.5.0. Was that change intended?

I think that would be best left like that since I think to be able to he a Hi-Rail it would need more power to pull rail cars. Usually hi-rails are utility vehicles meant for maintenance and such

Hello, I'd like to report a bug regarding the Dynamo Express Tram (I'm not sure if this bug's already been reported or not).

Whenever I refit this vehicle to carry specific cargoes (from FIRS and ECS industry sets), its wagons "mysteriously" disappear, just like this one in the picture below:

Image

And the affected cargoes are:

Milk - From FIRS
Chemicals - From FIRS
Paper - From ECS
Refined Products - From ECS
Water - From ECS

Lastly, keep up with the great work, I simply adore this set.

Version 1.5.1 now on bananananas or http://bundles.openttdcoop.org/heqs/releases/

Changelog...

*version 1.5.1*
Adjust speed of some trams from 17mph to 20mph for better game balance.
Increased costs of Afonside tram for better game balance.
Increased loading speed of Dynamo tram a litle.
Fix potential source of OpenTTD crash by disabling auto-refit for trams that can change length.
Fix Dynamo tram showing no wagon graphics for some cargos.
Fix railmotor trams were not loading; railmotor trams were incorrectly refitting to PAX in some cases.

Andy, one thing I've noticed in 1.5.0 and I've forgotten about. I have bought an Ishizuchi coal tram and refitted it to 15 carriages. Once it has got old, it has auto-renewed but reverted back to original length of 4 carriages. Is that a bug? If not, is there some way around it?

How about "proper" semi-trailer trucks or even a Aussie road train? Is there a chance that those will be included in future versions?
