It has special rules, cargos, vehicles and so on. I suggest you first read how it works, because it is not the usual "coal train + town to town passenger train = tons of cash" routine.
This is pretty much all I play :D
kamnet wrote: 07 May 2020 10:28 The only thing that won't be possible is the warfare aspect. This is still a transportation and business simulation game, so you're not going to see guns blazing and bomb flying, there's just no way to make that happen. Best you can get is a forever place of desolation and misery, chugging goods from Point A to Point B.
Oh no, I wasn't thinking of actual warfare, just the theme. It's great to create the apocalyptic looks on the map as best I can, but then a brand new van full of <insert appropriate goods here> drives by and it breaks the immersion a bit.

Anyway, it might be a fun side-project for those graphically inclined folks out there.

From which set are these bridges (especially the wooden one a train is passing over)? This is a submission from OzTrans to a Screenshot of the Month competition. (viewtopic.php?f=47&t=74447&start=1080)

Those bridges are part of a large comprehensive unreleased Canadian set in development. The wooden trestle was drawn by OzTrans and the covered bridge was drawn by me. Much work remains to be done on the overall Canadian set, but the covered bridge is available in my wallyweb's bridge set as the Hartland Bridge

Got another one from an old Screenshot of the Month competition. This one is from Mr Bruco (viewtopic.php?p=1184774#p1184774) .

It has elevated rail tracks that I couldn't find which NewGRF it came from (neither a functional nor eyecandy object one)

Does anyone know where is this from?

It's photoshopped for the competition.

looks like SNCF Set, but version 1+ and later (first version has only TGV's, 2 electric locomotives, only in 2cc, not realistic liveries)

On that page you should see "ici" in blue. These are the links.
I think the last "ici" is the link you are looking for.

I'm curious, how did you discover this page? I haven't seen it before.

With that said, this is not going to work with OpenTTD. It is a modified copy of the old DB XL NewGRF, and it's modified to work with the version of TTDPatch that's posted on the page. You would also need to download and install several other files, as well as own an original copy of Transport Tycoon Delxue that TTDPatch needs in order to work.

I loaded the NewGRF in OpenTTD, and it doesn't load properly.

Hi, is there any military newgrf? i want to make them guarding the border of the cities

If you're looking for objects like troops, tanks and such, I don't think there are any. One of the objectives of OpenTTD is to
Provide a game that is free from war themes and conflict; hence suitable for all age groups
It is not forbidden to create such content, just that it is not really interesting in the gameplay.

Speaking of borders, some NewGRFs might interest you:
  • VAST Fences provides fences, if you want to isolate your towns
  • A bit more old fashioned, City Wall Objects can do the trick for early games
  • Eyecandy Road Vehicles features a police car (not military, but I guess it can guard a fence)

To add to Arikover's suggestions, there are some military air stuffs to find.

There's an addon for av8 that makes the Disaster Apache and Fighter (An F4 Phantom) buildable.

There's also a GRF that adds a B1 Bomber somewhere on this forum, but I'm not sure where. I'd look for it if I wasn't rather busy.

Neither of these add any static objects or land vehicles, but you can park them at an airport, or have them fly around.

A Troopcarrier can be found here (Scroll down a bit):
viewtopic.php?f=26&t=27376&start=40

There is a Ju52 that can be found on Bananas (ingame-downloader)

Russian planeset has some aircraft that look a bit military (Li-2 and Mi-4):
viewtopic.php?f=26&t=25516&hilit=planeset

A Chinook can be found in Planeset (its a bit random with the liveries, but sometimes a military looking one shows up):

As mentioned before, an Apache can be found on Bananas (That GRF also contains the F4 Phantom)

CHIPS stations (also on Bananas) has some storage huts that look like WW2-era baracks:

Couldnt find the above mentioned B1 by the way..

EDIT:
A little tip, a lot of vehicles can look military if you choose the dark-green company color for them, in combination with brown (for example just for trucks):
