It looks Russian/Soviet to me (because of the little red flag on its tail).
My best guess is that its either a Tupolev TU-22M or Tupolev TU-160:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tupolev_Tu-22M
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tupolev_Tu-160

There is a Russian plane-set:
viewtopic.php?f=26&t=25516&hilit=russian+plane+set
But I dont think its in there…

I did click on Grigory's link to his thread on the Russian OpenTTD forums, there he uses the picture you posted, as an avatar:
http://forums.ttdrussia.net/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=435
But I cant read Russian, so no idea what is posted there ;-)

My best advise is to ask around on the Russian forum (if you speak Russian ;-) )
Although it looks to me like its something he has made for himself and didnt release, as most probably its an Soviet bomber and there are not a lot of military planes around in OpenTTD…

made for himself ? oh no....thx

I cant read Russian as well and I just found on those forums another picture, what do you think about those rail tracks and catenary?

It is USSR planes.
It actually is in the thread Quast linked to, but there's a GRF for each plane.
Look at the GRF list on the first post.

Those are probably in the XUSSR-set:
viewtopic.php?f=26&t=14582&hilit=xussr
Although the catenary doesnt exactly look like that…
So the picture may be from an old release.
Most recent one can be found here:
http://bundles.openttdcoop.org/xussrset ... es/LATEST/
Download xussr-r6797.zip It has trains and rails/catenary

And where exactly have you found that (presumed) Tupolev?

Thats not it ;-)
The Tu-144 looks like a Concorde and was the first supersonic airliner.

The plane in the picture of ttdlover has a variable sweep wing design:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Variable-sweep_wing
As you can see in his picture the plane has a wide wing when landing and swept when on ground (and presumably also in flight).
This kind of design is limited primarily to military aircraft.

EDIT:

@ttdlover
That catenary does seem to be from a very early version of the XUSSR-set:
viewtopic.php?f=26&t=14582&hilit=xussr
It can be found in the Static Objects, it does also affect landscape though…

It is from Lightrail/tramtracks, you can find it on BaNaNaS.
As for the tram it is from German Road Vehicle Set, it is still available on the forums, search for it.

Hello people, I'm back with another graphic asking :-)

I found this snow NewGRF that changes terrain softer in five steps rather than only three. It may not seem as much but the change is nicely notable! So I was thinking if maybe anyone knows of a similar way for tropical? I mean the change from grass/desert ground be softer too. I tried the content online with several words as entry, but either it doesn't exist or I'm not having any luck finding it.

Snow-transition can have five tiles:
Image
Full snow, very nearly full snow, almost full snow, some snow, a bit of a snow, (full grass).

And they are asking whether there's any GRF have the same; just between desert and desert-grass tiles (which is just desert -> some mix -> grass).

I don't know a GRF that's doing it and I'm not sure it can easily be done. You can't just define now groundtile-types. Although it might be somehow possible to get around it, I don't know.

You can have two GRFs doing that : Japanese Landscape and OpenGFX+ Landscape. Both are available in online content. Japanese Landscape also modifies roads and rail tunnels, so be aware of that.

Also, i'd be pleased to look at your Pyoro Harbour :D

He is already aware of smoother snow transitions, his question is if that is also possible in Tropical, for a smoother transition from desert to grass, which I dont think exists (sadly  ).

Me too!

Are you sure? In the picture you can see brownish pylons and black wires, does Lightrail/tramtracks have that?

I will gladly submit a picture of my harbour, if I get to know how. I'll try now!
So there's no grass/desert transition... what a pity.

So ok, maybe it doesn't look that great, but just being able to actually DO IT is an incredible feeling!
EDIT: the picture comes as a download? Why? I hoped it would show as a normal image...

Anything bigger than 800 pixels x 600 pixels goes into download. 8)
Pyoro's image is exactly 800x600. One pixel bigger in any direction and he would be in downloadville.
