Chess!
Rules are simple:
This is a game of chess played according to standard rules and with the moves written in English algebraic notation. Whoever posts next takes the next move so it is kind of an all-play all match. Illegal moves are ignored. It might help to have a board handy.
I'll start.

Either I'm missing something really obvious, or I don't understand how the rook can go to f3.Absolutis wrote:2. Rf3
Assuming you mean 2. Nf3:
2. ... Nc6

Can't work out the editor so
3. Bb5
(Bc4 would have been boring unless someone fancies the fried liver.)
Whoops forget that. Here it is:

Re: Chess!
4. Nc3
Thanks! (I know there is some reason that defending the e-pawn isn't necessary here but I can't think why).

If you didn't defend the e-pawn, I'd have captured it and ended up with a very strong knight.

PS Let's all keep the diagram updated. It's easier.

Re: Chess!
You mean 7. ... bxf3
To that I reply 8. Qxh3

PS After you make the move, you have to click URL and copy/paste the middle one only for the link to be correct.

Re: Chess!
Actually, that would have only been accurate if a pawn on the b-file had taken something on f3, which is, of course, impossible. B = Bishop, b = pawn on the b-file.
