Aerosol has today began its overhaul program on passenger facing areas of the company. The first of the changes is the name change from AeroSol to Solair to try and refresh the company's tired image. Along with this, a raft of other changes have been made. The first is the reduction of seat numbers on our aircraft and the introduction of Premier Class cabins in the 757 and A300 fleet which operate the longer routes within the route network. Sol Tours in combination with this change has changed their holiday property portfolio to include more high end and boutique hotels in smaller resorts around our destinations to try to increase the yields in the markets and bolster the very low yielding IT customers. An overhaul of the Solair website has allowed for people to buy packages or flights directly online for the first time.
In the future, fleet replacement for some of our aircraft would be a priority in terms of reducing our very high fuel costs, however there is not enough money in the business and as can be seen by Thomas Cook, it is highly important not to run into cashflow issues, as this reduces consumer confidence and starts a death spiral. Based on positive results of new route trials, fleet expansion will be focussed on the second hand market.

The next priority for the airline is to open a new UK base to test the market for further expansion. Another long term goal is further intergration and cooperation with other airlines. Solair would like to enter some co-operative agreement with Mancunian Airways for block-buying seats on their services in order to operate tours out of Manchester and help test markets to see if they will work out of Gatwick.
