Re: The airline game
SolAir's preliminary route observation and market evaluation has been completed. It has come to our attention that on many routes, the low cost carrier competition is cashing in on our percieved poor value for money. To rememdy this, a new rebranding advertising campaign has been given the go-ahead to highlight our high quality, low price message. Furthermore, to improve loads, our flight only deals are also going to be highlighted. Package deals make up 95% of our sales volume, hence an easier way to attract new customers is to attract frequent flyers to our type of destinations, i.e. second home owners.
In terms of expansion, 4 used Boeing 737-500 aircraft have been procured and reconfigured to 111 seats. This smaller aircraft size, whilst being more expensive per seat, allows smaller markets to be tested as the breakeven number of passengers is 20% lower than on a 737-300. The current routes being operated will be rejigged slightly to allow rightsizing of capacity in new markets.
In order to test out operating out of smaller airports with less Low Cost Competition, a new operation has started out of Exeter (EXT). The benefit is that it is a small airport, but with a very large catchment area, no true low cost competition, minor other charter operators and it is capacity constrained so only one plane can overnight there, reducing possible future competition. A small operation has opened to see how well a smaller city can support service in a relatively slow part of the year.
Finally, in order to improve connectivity between the two bases, a twice daily service from Gatwick to Manchester codeshared with Mancunian Airways allows for greater choice for customers of both airlines. Timed to leave Gatwick in the early morning, arriving at Manchester in time for the wave of Transatlantic departures, returning to Gatwick conveniently for arrivals from the Americas, a second departure from Gatwick in the mid afternoon allows transfers to Asia bound travellers and returns to Gatwick arrivals on these flights. The link also expands the destinations available to Mancunian Airways customers as well as being conveniently timed for a business daytrip between the two cities at a better price than by train. The service is schedualled to use 737-500 aircraft, however in excess demand the route can be upgraded to a larger aircraft.

Re: The airline game
A second incarnation of Air Florida opens up.
The new airline is based out of OIA (Orlando)
The airline has a "gently" used fleet of
x6 767-200
x6 737-300
with 2 767-200 on each of the New York routes
and 2 737-300 on each of the short Atlanta-Orlando-Miami routes

Re: The airline game
Did you use GCMapper to make that? It doesn't look like it and I would recommend using it.
