Re: Guess the North American city
Yeah, I'm guessing a city in the Great Lakes area. Possibly on the Canadian side.
Is it St. Catharines, ON?

Re: Guess the North American city
Yes! It it's Toledo, OH
Re: Guess the North American city
If I'd taken the time to actually compare the pictures, I'd have been more certain about it.
Now this one ought to be real tricky...

Re: Guess the North American city
I keep thinking it's Quebec city, but it wouldn't be that tricky. right?
Re: Guess the North American city
Besides, I already used it
Re: Guess the North American city
But it is Canada, isn't it?
Re: Guess the North American city
Yes And I'll tell you that as far a spopulation goes, it'.s closer to Moncton than Toledo (hence the trickiness)
Re: Guess the North American city
Whew, I thought the trick was that the French sign would make me think it's Canada while it's not
Okay then, I'm off for another brainstorm session
EDIT: Done! It's Sherbrooke, Quebec.

Re: Guess the North American city
Alright, another one:
Re: Guess the North American city
Syracuse, NY?
Re: Guess the North American city
The way I read it it's a mid-size city in a relatively hilly region that goes through proper winders. The only areas I can think of that fit this description are all in the Northeastern US. I just hope I'm not misinterpreting the thing.
Rochester, NY?
Rochester, NY?
Re: Guess the North American city
Yuo're absolutely right about the Northeast!
Rochester is not the city on the photo though.
Impress me, deduct the city the same way you did with the area

Re: Guess the North American city
I dunno if I can do that. There's a river, but not a major one (i.e. it.'s not the Hudson at Albany), and it's on a major national or regional highway. There's a marina. And apparently at least section of street crossing at 45° to other streets. But those features don't really tell me much. ALso that building in the foreground likely dates from the 30s or 40s...
Is it Hartford, CT?
Is it Hartford, CT?
Re: Guess the North American city
Well I don't expect you to, I'm just saying it would be cool.
And no, it's not Hartford

Re: Guess the North American city
For some reason I wanna say Pittsburgh, PA...
Re: Guess the North American city
The reason probably is that it actually is Pittsburgh, PA
