Re: Guess the North American city
I was glancing at pics and I noticed that Pittsburgh looks much smaller skyscraperwise than it its population (Albany looks better furnished!), and the river would match. But you couldn't see that building on the pics, so I was unsure. If I'd looked at the list of tallest buildings, I'd have found it more certainly, though.

Re: Guess the North American city
Nope. Not a bad guess, though.
Re: Guess the North American city
Glendale, California
Re: Guess the North American city
Nope, wrong side of the mountains.
Re: Guess the North American city
Palmdale?
Re: Guess the North American city
Okay, this should be clearer: wrong side of the continental divide
Re: Guess the North American city
Oh these mountains
Then it's Texas I guess...
See how it's difficult to guess a city when you can't identify a single building on the photo

And you're way off with Texas. Hint: just because it's drier doesn't mean it's desertic.
Re: Guess the North American city
Well, I have no idea what it is and where it is located.
On one hand I hate random guessing; on the other hand I can't tell one city from another basing only on general landscape features.
So I'm gonna stop here. You can call it "giving up"
