Plastic, glass ones are more heavier and can brake more easily... although they look nicer...

Age of Empires series, I don't know Civilization that well, but I thought seen it at a friend, didn't like it, and I do like the AoE series a lot!

Depends, TTD types faster but sometimes ppl don't know what it means so you type the full name... but that doesn't happen often.
