The mine is offended at me

I do have a serious problem gaming on hard difficulty. At the very beginning I've build a road between a mine and a power plant and made a quite good connection earning lot of money. Then at least 4 AIs used _my_road_ and copied my idea. After several years the mine stopped to deliver coal on my own station, while it still deliverd it on the other AI's stations. Of course my trucks do not earn any more. Can someone tell me what did I do wrong?

The possibilities are:
Your competitor is providing a better service
Your competitor has better transport ratings for the cargo
Your competitor bought exclusive transport rights

Cargo is only delivered to the two stations which have the highest rating. Two other competitors with thus provide better service than you.

I suggest to build statue in nearest town (+10% to station rating).
Or remove road and build train connection

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if one buys exclusive rights, wouldn't it then discard all competitors stations in favour of the two highest rated that one owns?

That presents another interesting question - what if two people by exclusive rights in the same town?

I am pretty sure the second person gets them as I have had Exclusive Rights wars on mp with Pikka.

So, now everything is lost, how can I offer better service if I have nothing to transport by now. The game is on very early stage, so there is no possibility to found a statue or buy transport rights. Last but not least, I do not have enough money to do so
