Help Please on Installation

I have downloaded and unzipped TT of windows and the patch for w2k, but when I run the game it tells me there is an ´error reading registry´. What am I doing wrong?

You probably need to run the SETUP first, install TT in another folder and then start the game with the patch.

Make sure you run the ttdpatchw.exe file. Not the normal TTD one.
