Well the latest bus I drive finishes around midnight, and is usually great. No trouble out in the sticks, just old folks coming home from the working men's clubs. A council subsidised booze shuttle basically.
People are indeed friendly up here, although the old folks will resolutely ignore anything you say to them until they've scanned their pass on the reader, even if it's "THE READER ISN'T WORKING, CAN I SEE YOUR PASS PLEASE?"
Hardly ever get bad passengers, although last week someone else had a nutcase ranting about how he had a knife. The police picked him up later and came to the depot to interview the driver, much drama.
