South West Trains bidders are in
The two bidders (yes, just two) will now need to demonstrate their practicality of running the large franchise.
So without further delay, the bids are from First South Western Trains Limited and Stagecoach South West Limited

I'm biased the other way, based on my experiences of their other franchises. Transpennine seems to be the only franchise they've managed in a wholly decent manner fiasco free, from what I have experienced and read of, and there are simply no polite ways to describe FirstGroups bus services, at least those throughout Yorkshire...

See I'm biased towards First having worked for them in the past, and they were an absolutely superb company to be a part of

Awww thats old news... All for Stagecoach though. Never let First run anything, I'm pretty sure that they are having money issues.

Would make an interesting monopoly on services across the south and south west, bar the Southern stuff down to Brighton etc.
