Photo of the Month - December 2015 - Entries
Let's not waste any time...
Theme:
"WEATHER"
... set by the last month's winner Voyager One.
As always, rules can be found HERE.
How to enter:
Easy - simply upload your image to this topic to enter or link it from a trusted site such as flickr, photobucket, DeviantArt, your personal website etc.
Uploading is preferred as it keeps things together. If you're linking from a URL, having a small 'preview' image and a link to a high-res image would be helpful.
If uploading direct to the wiki:
Let's keep entries in a certain named format for organisation reasons as well as keeping record of them in the entries topic and here. If you prefer to upload to the wiki, please keep it in the same naming format as other entries and inform me they are already on the wiki. Name format is - month|year|POTM_user name.
For example: 1215POTM_Dave.jpg / 1215POTM_orudge.jpg / 1215POTM_GeoGhost.jpg / 1215POTM_Ameecher.jpg
You get the idea
At the end of the month, this topic will close and a voting topic will be started with all the entries in for people to choose their top one.
All entries will be uploaded to the tt-forums wiki and stored there for voting and also for archive.
Entries close on the last day of the month, voting will be available for 7 days (approximately).
The winner will need to contact me about what they want the next theme to be and then that will be posted in the entry topic for the next month*. Then we repeat from there. Simple.
(* If the winner doesn't choose a theme within 7 days, the next month's theme will be an "Open" theme).
If you wish to change your entry, you may so long as the entries are still open. Simply upload a new one to the topic and remove your old one.
Otherwise, it may get confusing as to which one you are entering. If there are two entries submitted and you have not informed me which one you wish to be used, I will use the first one posted.
Cheers people!

Hopefully this fits the topic. A view across the Snow Covered Apron of the yet to open Berlin Brandenburg Airport, with a Norweigian 737 taking off from the Nearby Berlin Schoenefeld.

Nice photo but I must ask, any chance you have a higher quality photo?
Rule #10: Images must be at least 1024 x 768 pixels.

Re: Photo of the Month - December 2015 - Entries
The image was taken on an old mobile, that's now broken, I had to take that off my Facebook, and that's the best quality I was able to get unfortunately

Let's have a landing plane creating some spray, seamlessly blending into a row of blooming cherry trees, on a rainy day.
...
At least for those with good eyes.

I'll just leave this here...

I might just have to contribute for once. Sunrays on the old Örebro Castle an early November morning.

Re: Photo of the Month - December 2015 - Entries
Is this now a general photo competition without a transport requirement any more?
Edit:
My contribution, the Arctic port of Narvik in Norway on a crisp freezing February day.

Not to my knowledge, and I was wondering the same thing. I thought VoyagerOne would have been questioning it already.Ameecher wrote:Is this now a general photo competition without a transport requirement any more?
So far I don't see the specific 'transport' element in the photos by
te_lanus, Voyager One, AndersI, Eddy Arfik, and Chrill.
Lovely photos don't get me wrong.. but I do question why suddenly we've all forgotten about the very premise of the competition and the first rule of it "The photo must be related to transport generally."
It's always been that way since the competition was started many years ago, and it remained so when I attempted to give it a reboot. So I don't understand why it's suddenly changed, and why the organisers haven't said anything about it.
Sure it is down to an organisers discretion, but now it just seems people can post what ever they like if it kinda fits a theme, but not a transport-related photo.
This is why I personally don't see the point in going out and making an effort to get a nice photo for a competition when others can post what ever they like to Becomes rather pointless in the end.
