Photos of some 'special' trains
Let's start a off-topic topic about trains. I know there are lots of special trains in the world, but it's much work searching photo's on the internet without knowing what you're searching for.
Let's start a topic in where you post an image (or more) of trains you think are special, or are beautiful, or just an ordinary trains you want to give some attention.
I start. Here's an image of a Dutch train, called the "Koploper" which means something like "Headwalker".
Who's next?

Actually I think 'Koploper' means something more like 'Frontrunner' or so. I like all Dutch trains They are not as boring as most.
And I like to see the German ICE's.

This is an actual running train, the express line from Kansai Airport near Tokyo, Nankai Railway's Rapid Beta.
I saw this picture only after we'd come back from Japan, I didn't know it existed so I didn't get to ride it
Also I like to show this train, which I did get to ride, it's in the middle of Tokyo servicing a line to the Tokyo Bay area, with all the futuristic buildings there this train fits right in. All the tracks are about 100 feet or more above the ground so it's good sight-seeing. The train runs on rubber wheels along a guided track, and they are fully automated, no driver present. A funny side effect of this is that all trains arrive on time to the second

Japan has loads of unique trains, because they distinguish the various lines by making the trains look different. Some are just different colors, but others are VERY different.
The Shinkansen train types each have a special "Doctor Yellow" unit, which looks just like the rest except it is painted yellow. It is specially equipped with electronic scanners that examine the track and systems, and report any maintenance that needs doing.

In the 1950s, there was an Italian express between Rome and Milan called "Settebello" which means Lucky Seven. It reminds me more of the Japanese Odakyu "Romance" trains, except it's green and has a 1950's style to it.

I thought the "koploper" was a "headwalker" because you could walk through the connecting door at the front when they worked in multiple.
Anyway, here's the Flying Banana
