I went to Terschelling for one week, not for vacation but for a course on the Maritime Institute. So I took the ferry from Harlingen to Terschelling and vice versa. I really enjoyed the first trip from Harlingen to Terschelling. We took the 19:45 ferry, weather was nice, hanging out with classmates on the deck. Great times!

*Kick*

Just got back from Disneyland, because I am at most 6 years old. Dover - Calais on the Pride of Kent on Thursday. Nothing to note. Returned today on the Pride of France. Firstly, so much nicer than the Kent, Secondly the crossing was ROUGH. Felt rather bad. Was glad to be on land again on the other side.

I get this ferry a few times a month when my missus drops me off in the car the wrong side of the harbour!

No matter how bad a mood i'm in, the 40 second trip always cheers me up.

Wow. Newcastle to Amsterdam. Big boat but mainly taken up with cabins. So not much to do or see. There must of been hundreds or at least high tens of oil rigs as the whole way I could see 5-15 at any point. Great trip.

I'm sure this will date me big-time, but my last boat trip was on the Vomit Cat from Stranraer to Belfast in April 1998. I probably would not had such an unpleasant trip if I hadn't decided to gorge myself at the local chippie 45 minutes prior to boarding (had a few too many Bank of Scotland 5 pound notes in my wallet and was trying to use them up). Hanging off the stern and getting some fresh air and salt spray in my face was the only way I could keep myself from literally and figuratively losing my lunch...
