Particularly the heat and glare factor. Darwin and Alice Springs are 30 - 34 degrees everyday now. Imagine in the drivers seat heading into the sun. :(

Shudder to think, steam was used in the early days when it used to terminate at Pine Creek. Unbelievable. :roll:
