Fredinho's screenshots

Post by Fredinho »

Thought I would make my own screenshots thread, where I compile my different ideas.

As some of you may have noticed, I'm usually all about the eye-candy, but I want to make it functional as well (and soon maybe actually play a longlasting game, for a change). Anyways, I tend to fall into a pattern, so lately I've tried to switch things up by going early 20th century subtropical, which is, well, interesting and fun!

Starting off with my little sawmill, deep into the jungle. It get its wood from both land and sea, before the timber is transported to the nearest furniture factory.

All the ships (and trains) of course stop by Fortín Esteros, the capital of the region. The old fort merely function as a tourist attraction by now, and the steam age is here to stay - atleast for a little while.

Really makes me wish there was a proper town building set for subtropical climate :)

The town of Mérida. Famous for its giant geese and in general hating transport tycoons like myself.

These are gorgeous! Which trainset are you using? I seem to recognize NARS wagons, but I'm not sure about the engines...

Thank you! I'm trying out different ones, like The American Transition Set, Southern Pacific Steam Set & North Korean (DPRK) Train Set.

And now for something different. I present to you the Maeklong Railway Market:
Wikipedia wrote:The railway became famous for its route through the Maeklong Railway Market, nicknamed (Thai: ตลาดร่มหุบ; RTGS: Talat Rom Hup), meaning the "umbrella pulldown market". It is one of the largest fresh seafood markets in Thailand, and is centred on the Maeklong Railway's track. Whenever a train approaches, the awnings and shop fronts are moved back from the rails, to be replaced once the train has passed

Was supposed to be my entry for the Screenshots Competiton, but I think I might have a go on a different railroad. I think this is too similar to my last entry, and I'm not sure I was able to recreate the Maeklong that well - although the railroad does get lost all in all the noise, like in real life :P. I think I also missed the mark on what kind of train is used.

Love those tracks with the chips-style groundtiles, gotta say. Fits amazingly well in that setting.

They really do! Kudos to Erato for those railway tracks, and Ubify for the road set. Hoping for some more object sets with cobblestone tile base 8)
