Hello! I'm a long time admirer of this competition and the spectacular images you all create. Now that I have lots more time on my hands, I thought I would create an account and take part. I hope I've done this right!
The traditional Dutch town of Kasestadt is a quiet, peaceful place most of the time. However, every year on the 31st of June, it is inundated with visitors for the annual air show that takes place on its seafront. People come from across the nation and spend the day on the beach watching aerobatic displays. Special Intercity train services are laid on to transport the thousands of spectators whilst Police close the local seafront road to vehicles to allow people to move about safely. This image captures some formation flying from the Russian Air Display Team.

Hello everyone! I also will be participating in this competition for the first time, and hopefully for many times more!
Somewhere in the north of Brazil, between the ocean and the jungle, is the town of Vila Clara, a lovely touristic town with beautiful clear water beaches.

I'm in. :D
In 1492 Columbus sailed the ocean blue ... On his way to China, aboard the Nina, Pinta and Santa Maria, he and his crew stumbled upon an idealic Caribbean island where they dropped anchor in a cove surrounded by beautiful sandy beaches. Columbus suffered a stroke of genius. "We shall make a fortune" he said, and with that he invented the Tourist Industry. "We will build a magnificent luxurious hotel and casino and a spa and a mall of shops and a rum distillery, all to separate rich noblemen from their fortunes. We will call it a tourist resort". And with that he erected a sign on the beach that said "Future Site of CHRIS COLUMBUS' BEACH RESORT!"
MEANWHILE #1: Upon hearing of this brilliant idea, Queen Isabella recalled her 1,000 ship Spanish Armada to port to be refitted to luxury class cruise ships capable of transporting 2,000 tourists each.
MEANWHILE #2: Blackbeard and his nefarious crew of pirates dropped anchor in a bay on the far side of the island, out of sight of Columbus and his crew, and began to scheme for a tourist trap named Blackbeard's Surf Shop wherin to sell cheap trinkets and souvenirs at ridiculously exorbitant prices.
MEANWHILE #3: Vulcan the volcano was rumbling with thoughts of converting the white sands of the beach to the black beach sands similar to those produced by his cousins in New Zealand ...
The rest is history ...

Hi Wallyweb,

I don't think I will get a entry in in time .. been informed a short time ago that internet will be turned off here from Friday 25th to Tuesday 30th to allow maintenance to be carried out. (I presume that be from midnight tonight) in about 4 hours time.

The President here warned all providers if they don't improve their services by Christmas he will shut them down. So looks like our provider and a few others going to do something about it.

So hope 1st October services should be back and better.

Cheers all .. hope when I back on line will see heaps of good screenshots to try vote for.

The 30th is a Wednesday. With 5 days of no internet interruption, perhaps that will give you time to complete an entry. I can hold things open until Saturday morning if you like.

Just a extra 24 hours will do :D .. I might be back on line the night of the 30th, but in case I not. Thursday, October 1st should be ok.

If I knew earlier in week about this I would have did a entry instead of teaching dolphins and crocodiles how to swim.

Cheers pal

My impression of the artificial island Neeltje Jans.
Created as a part of the Dutch Delta Works (in this case the Oosterscheldekering) to keep The Netherlands safe from the sea.
Now frequently visited on warm sunny days for its pretty beaches.

Internet still not been turned off and no idea if it is going off or for how long as suppose to went off on Friday and stayed off til Wednesday. .. so I will upload my screenshot now in case it goes off soon.
A place north of Newcastle is Port Stephens. Port Stephens has places such as Nelson Bay, Lemon Treet Passage (where I spent my childhood) and a place called Mungo Brush. Pacific Ocean to the East and Myall Lakes to the west with a narrow strip of land in between.
The lake to the west famous for Oysters and prawns (shrimp). To the east after a hard walk through the forest and sand dunes you reach the Pacific Ocean with Miles and Miles of Sandy beaches along the coast. I used to go camping near the lake before it be came so popular. At night we would light a camp fire near the lake shore and two of us would drag a net out into the lake and back to shore and unload the prawns straight into the boiling pot on the camp fire. Some times you also catch a blue swimmer crab. Only problem was I am allergic to prawns and crab even if real fresh :( .

The small towns of Wrunwood and Nedingbury share a coastal strip of wide beaches where people enjoy as a family, everything is calm and quiet except for the trucks that come and go from the Wrunwood chocolate factory up the hill.

The cobbled streets of both towns are ideal for walking on cloudy days, a very popular circuit is to start the day on the steep streets of Wrunwood, walk along the beach until you reach the historic streets of Nedingbury and finish the tour at the old lighthouse.

Last two weeks I created few object items to this competition. Finally I'm done with it  You can see beach and city paths, beach bars, restaurants and bars, shops in wall, markets etc. Now my brain have to rest. :)
People of the Arctic climate finally have the opportunity to travel to a tropical island with beaches, bars and cultural activities in the historic city center. Tourists travel to the city by subway, which goes directly to the airport. The metro station can be reached by tram or on foot. Welcome to paradise!
