Following a successful, but debt-ridden first two years of operation, one of the leading businessmen of New Mintown orchestrated a benevolent takeover. Rebranded as Greater Mintown Area Transit, the company immediately expanded and began constructing a spur line to transport oil to Mintown's newly-constructed refinery.
An expansion to include Wendingworth Falls ultimately proved too costly to maintain, and the company was forced to declare bankruptcy.
