No. Server issues. Look in the topic in News about the forums being ssl only.

I don't think it was the SSL proxy in this case. More that you can't (as far as I know) embed an imgur post just by using [img] - I altered it to use i.imgur.com instead (i.e., copied the link from there).

Although, given the size of the image, I'll perhaps remove that now...

I was expecting comments about the image content itself...

Since the forum support images, many readers don't even click at external links, which may explain why you didn't get much comment.

In addition, you're not as weird as you think. Your topic just got moved to a sub-forum filled with topics with eye-candy pictures!
Just browse around :)
Being a OpenTTD developer does not mean I know what I am doing.
Also, other OpenTTD developers may have different opinions.

It looks like you and your fried had much fun.

You could also add some traffic. For example a train with armored cars going in and out of the town.

There is this newgrf called Town Wall Objects. This would make the island look more serious (in the main game menu at the beginning NewGRF settings, then Check Online Content etc). Another set is VAST+Fences, as no serious facility goes without one.

There are so many options to get more fun out of such simple scenario. This is what make this game actually amazing. ;)

Edit: Oh, to place the objects, you have to click on the landscaping tool (icon with forest and beach) and then on the transmitter icon (place an object, on the right)).

Edit 2: There is this cheat: ctrl+alt+c and you can set higher initial funds for your operation. Then you can install real factories. FIRS NewGRF would bring you different graphic options for them.
