After much deliberation, le_harv has chosen the theme River Crossings
We have had this theme before, but it was exactly two years ago now. Entries are open, let's build some bridges! (Or ferries or tunnels, whatever you prefer)

Great screenshot le_harv and now a great theme too.
Now I have to think of a great screenshot but I'll cross that river when I get to it.

An interesting variant of the new theme. It's appropriate., if the moderator agreed .
But in this time I will have different ideas than that time .
And competitors on the idea of should be on order more, than in last theme .

Hi.
This is Bunside and its historic central station (which suffered some modifications during a century growth). When I build it, it was an island. Then I had to join it to the north coast. And later I dismantled 2 tracks making this place a park. In the meantime, a new railway line was founded, whom crossed the city from north to south.

Re: Screenshot Of The Month Competition - October 2018 - ENTRIES
I'll pop one in before I move and won't have access to my PC for a bit (but rest assured the competition will continue as I still have my laptop )
The Grand Uralic Trunk Line crosses the river at Svetlograd. One of many river crossings along the line, this one retains the old steel truss structure. The densely populated and industrialised river valley means there is a lot of traffic. Freight barges ply underneath while an intercity meets a local train while crossing.

I'm in.
We see our intrepid little train with a two engine head end and a helper at the rear as it struggles mightily up the grade from trestle #3 to trestle #4 with a full load of supplies and a coach with a fresh maintenance crew for the new technology of the day, microwave communications, as well as a mix of sports fishermen looking for that perfect salmon pool and prospectors looking for the motherlode of minerals so much in demand by the new economy. The only way up the ridge from Sea Side City to the little town of Summit was via Salmon River Canyon and a series of switchbacks only possible with several river crossings provided by trestles.

But most people cross the river in order to go to the Marina, which sure isn't very far.

Many, many lines cross the Seyne river in Carlyville. This includes roads, light rail lines or commuter rail lines.

Re: Screenshot Of The Month Competition - October 2018 - ENTRIES
Very nice to see this time quite different screenshots to the theme, which was already a few years ago. All participants well done .
My votes were divided between the following screenshots: andres1555, GarryG and ISA.
The first screenshot I liked its originality (I liked the embankment itself with the railway station.), and the other two screenshots attracted my attention by the fact that the emphasis was not on the urban landscape, as is usually the case here mostly. The beautiful dam and natural wonderful landscape are my main reasons for choosing these two screenshots.
