1880, in participation with cities towns of NA east coast, especially New-York, new railroad company started a construction of NY metropolitan and NY-Philadelphia-Washington railroad.
Subway connected also Boston to NY City.
In 1901, after 6 years of cooperation with Chicago, subway system there was developed.
1908, during last decade of XIX century passenger flow in NY region and between NY and Chicago grown. To respond increased demand, regional railroad connecting Philadelphia to Boston there created. In 1905 new railroad line directly connecting New-York to Chicago was inaugurated, bypassing Philadelphia Central station.
In 1925, Company started a development of new railroad station project for express lines. Projects was finished in 1930, two proposal was retained. 1st six-way station with bypass in the middle was built on railroad line between NY and Detroit, 2nd was used to develop newest railroad on NA West coast, in LA (bypass in tunnels under station).
In 1935 construction of South railroad from Miami was finished. Telegraph and railroad lines also connected Miami to New-York. However, after tests commercial passenger service between NY and Miami was postponed till faster trains are available. Actual steam engines could accelerate to 144km/h and had commercial service top speed around 100-110km/h.
In 1939, after 9 years, LA station proposal considered as more effective and stations on express line NY-Detroit was renewed according to this project.
Since 1940, Chicago-Detroit conglomeration was developed. New metro lines was built in Detroit and regional train connected Chicago to Toronto via Detroit in 1945. That was last years of old Detroit central station.
In 1952 2nd stage of Chicago railroad development was finished, separate station for Intercity+RER (regional train), TGV (High-speed trains) and freight there was built.
In 1955-1969 company worked on construction of railroad connection between East and West coast railroads. In 1969 trans-continental railroad inaugurated. Newest Turbotains commissioned for 8 high-speed lines, creating interconnections between New-York, Chicago, Miami, Los-Angeles and San-Francisco. In total, 4 years later, 115 trains runs on 8 high-speed lines between these cities.
In 1985, there was 1st railroad crash in company's history. Due to wrong signal at NYC intercity station, two passenger trains entered into collision, no causalities thanks to low speed.
In 1992, goods production station was renewed with modern equipment.

In 2000, due to high load of Miami TGV station, new project was used in renovation works. Two separate station was built to separate train flow of east coast and transcontinental high-speed lines. All TGV trains fleet was renewed from old TGV Atlantique to TGV duplex.
In 2010 renovation works was also finished for New-York Central railroad station node. Separated stations for east coast and transcontinental HS lines was built as well as postal service dedicated station. Seven years later 1st NTV AGV duplex train will enter this station. This train will be main high-speed train of company with commercial speed up to 513 km/h.
