Here are some pics of my latest savegame.... 1 sawmill station and 1 factory station producing totally 15000 goods. And a steel factory producing 6000. Also included a screen of the goods delivery-station. Lots of rail placed, but all stations work with virtually NO delay. At the moment making ~300 million/year (Wen't up from 200 millions when I placed the dedicated STEEL station, and of course some optimisation of the layout). Have anyone ever noticed the similarities between constructing big networks and what it must be like building computer components? (You know, optimizing bandwidth usage.....changing to 16 pixel pipelines etc. think of the MEGA-station as the CPU and the factory-station as the GPU - everything in between as the AGP ) Thanks for a great game, was like 7-8 years since last I played TTD
Forgot to mention, if you look at the first screenshot you will notice a small circling rail. After playing for apx ~100 years the computer decided to put an iron ore-mine jsut beside the steelfactory. Gotta use it

My mountainous game continued (there could be a lot of screenshots from this one game... still only 5 years in! )

- A new 'busy area' has emerged. Safingway Valley has been promoted from a terminus to a Ro-Ro station, and the track now extends past it (joining an existing coal line) to service a farm - you can just see the new station in the top left.

- The new farm station. There was too much traffic for two livestock and two grain trains, yet not enough for three - here you can see a livestock train forced to queue at the pre-signal. Some tweaking required!

- My ultimate-could-be-slow-station, all livestock, grain, steel, coal, wood and oil is transported here. About 140 trains (of 155) visiting this station. i have no idea how i will get all 16250 crates of goods / month transported from here.

- I've found an iron ore mine to service, although it's a long way from the nearest steel mill. Four trains, each with seven hoppers, just about cope with it.

- The extra steel trains were blocking up the terminus station, so lots of work was done to change it to a Ro-Ro affair. Almost every track was re-laid in an attempt to improve efficiency. It seems to work quite well.

- The trains deliver the ore to Sinningbury East, where steel trains wait to take away the finished product.

I guess that means that I don't play enough. I have something to catch up on. See you
I don't get it. What is the idea with the tunnel closest to the station. It goes under some tracks and after that, it turns into a busy track and goes to the station. Why not just head for the station right away?Akalamanaia wrote:The Busiest place in my small train network
Besides you have both left and right side driving on your railnet. That can be very messy when those two meets. That's why I always choose what to use when I build my first double tracked line

Sendingworth to Rutborough "Super Express" - only with Mr. Yellow Transport (who is somehow at the top of the leader board )
The only buses available at these times could only do 30 mph.
